Are our products suitable for those who follow a Rastafarian diet?

Posted in: Dietary Info

Today's post is regarding how we make vanilla accessible to you. This segment is on the Rastafarian diet.

The culture, religion and many aspects of Rastafarians’ lives including their diet is based on 'Ital', with the Ital diet mainly being associated with vegetarianism. Ital, also spelled 'I-tal', is derived from the English word 'vital', and lends its meaning to a 'vital' belief system. Rastafarian food is cooked without salt (although Kosher salt can be used as a substitute), processed foods, additives, oil and sugar - none of which are used in the creation of our products.

Due to alcohol being forbidden, Rastafarians cannot consume vanilla extract. However, our Purity Extract (true to its name) is fully pure. It is one of our most popular products because it does not contain any traces of alcohol - we are the only company in the world who can claim this. We strive to ensure our vanilla is versatile and accesssible to all diets.
